A long wooden prismatic stick was unearthed in 2021 from the tomb of Zhengjiahu in Yunmeng, Hubei Province. The organizer of the excavation has named it "The humble servant Tu to the West to asked the King of Qin," based on the first sentence of the goblet's text. This is the longest and earliest prismatic stick text ever found, and its form is rare. The prismatic stick is very rich in content, involving archaeology, paleography, paleography, ancient literature, ancient history, and other fields, and is of great academic value. However, not many papers have been written on the subject, and the study of the prismatic stick is still in its infancy, leaving much to be clarified. First of all, the general idea of the prismatic stick text is generally understandable, but due to the fact that part of the text is quite indecipherable, it has a great influence on the detailed grasp of the meaning. Despite the efforts made by previous scholars, there remains ample room for supplemental corrections in terms of word recognition and interpretation, and the meanings of some key phrases need to be further analyzed. Moreover, the lobbying content quotes the words of the Yellow Emperor, but due to the lack of correct interpretation of the relevant texts, this part has not yet been adequately explained. A thorough discussion of these issues, in conjunction with relevant ancient texts, is necessary. In addition, the organizer of the prismatic stick has already conducted a very thorough research on the historical events involved in this article, but the time and background of the incident of "The humble servant Tu to the West to asked the King of Qin" merit further in-depth exploration. Building upon previous studies, this article has explored the difficulties in interpreting and reading the prismatic stick text in a comprehensive manner, identifying and interpreting a total of more than forty characters, and proposing a new interpretation and historical inquiry for the whole text, in the hope of restoring its original appearance as much as possible, and enabling a more accurate understanding of the prismatic stick text and elucidating its scholarly value.
